Will anyone make it out of the mists?

The island village of Wolston has been quiet for a fortnight now. A terrible fog descended the night a carriage of the local lords men went missing. Fell voices and the beating of leathery wings haunt the grey void, allowing none to enter and none to leave.
Brant, a wandering warrior priest of the goddess of death makes his way to the forsaken isle. He has heard rumours of a haunting and as a 'Speaker' it is his sacred duty to lay whatever tortured spirits linger there to rest.
But will a self righteous noble, star crossed lovers, and the secrets of an island scarred by the horrors of war obscure what should be simple?
Will Brant be able to save the desperate village barely clinging to hope? Or will they all be lost to the mist forever?

Swords & Sorcery inspired by English and Celtic folklore
I have always loved classic fantasy and how mythology inspires it. While I have a love for folklore both local and distant, Deathbound owes a deal of its DNA to the myths of my local Yorkshire. Curious creatures hiding in caves, beasts of darkness stalking the hedgerows. Spirits hiding in the mists of an unwwelcoming sea, it is hard not to feel inspired by the history in these hills.
Yorkshire itself however cannot claim full credit, when the rest of the islands of Great Britain and Ireland are so steeped in history and poetry, it is impossible to not fall in love with the creatures which once lived among us.
Welcome to Dareth, a place where these creatures are very much still alive...or maybe more accurately alive again.
hand Illustrated and authored
While I may love stories and storytelling, my first love will always be illustration. And in a world of monsters and myth, would you not document your travels? Brant, is himself an avid artist documenting his investigations into this haunting and his feelings about his new companions he finds thrust upon him.
Art made for humans by a human, always. (unless it's made by a mysterious elven swordsman)
